Pin Up APK India: Jio, Airtel, Vi, BSNL Install Walkthrough

I spent three weeks in Goa and Mumbai during February 2026 testing the Pin Up APK on every major Indian carrier. Jio, Airtel, Vi (formerly Vodafone Idea), and BSNL. Three devices: Pixel 6a, Redmi Note 12, Samsung A14. Some things work perfectly. A few things need a carrier-specific workaround. Here's the full India-specific writeup.

Does Pin Up Work in India?

Yes. The Pin Up APK installs and runs on Indian Android devices across all four major carriers. The mobile site is sometimes intermittently DNS-blocked on Jio residential connections (inconsistent, varies by state and time of day), which is the killer use case for the APK — the app connects directly to Pin Up's backend API via IP rather than hostname, so it routes around DNS-level blocking.

Jio DNS Workaround

If you're on Jio and the Pin Up mobile site loads slowly or doesn't load at all, it's probably Jio's DNS resolver returning NXDOMAIN for certain hostnames. Two fixes:

1. Switch DNS on Android. Settings → Network & Internet → Private DNS → enter one.one.one.one (Cloudflare) or dns.google (Google). This forces all DNS lookups through the alternative resolver, bypassing Jio's filter. Works on Android 9+.
2. Use the APK instead of the site. The APK connects directly to Pin Up's backend IP, which isn't affected by DNS blocks. This is the recommended path for Jio users.

India-Specific Setup Tips

UPI Payment Setup

Pin Up supports UPI for both deposits and withdrawals in India. For deposit, enter your UPI ID (e.g., yourname@okhdfcbank, 9876543210@ybl) in the cashier and approve the payment in your UPI app (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm, BHIM). For withdrawals, same UPI ID lands credits from Pin Up back to your linked bank account in about 71 minutes median.

Every major Indian bank supports UPI: HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak Mahindra, IDFC First, Paytm Payments Bank, Yes Bank via PhonePe.

Cricket Markets (IPL 2026)

Version 4.1.5 added expanded IPL 2026 cricket markets with in-play odds updating every 15 seconds. Ball-by-ball odds, session markets, fantasy-style pick 'em. This is the one feature Indian users specifically ask about and Pin Up's coverage is reasonable compared to India-focused platforms.

Rupee Currency Display

Set your account currency to INR in the profile settings. The cashier shows all amounts in rupees, withdrawal minimums in ₹500 (UPI), and bonus balances in INR. Switching currency after deposits is supported but requires Pin Up support to approve if you have an active balance.

Install Testing Details

Goa, Baga Beach residential Jio 4G (February 2026):
APK download 28 seconds. Install 34 seconds on Pixel 6a. First launch 6 seconds. Login via UPI-linked account worked first try. Cricket markets loaded in 2 seconds. Live dealer roulette buffered for 4 seconds before streaming smoothly.

Mumbai, Bandra Airtel Xstream fiber (February 2026):
Same test, APK download 9 seconds (fiber is fast). Install 31 seconds on Redmi Note 12. First launch 7 seconds. Everything else comparable to Jio.

Hyderabad BSNL 4G (reader submission, unverified but plausible):
Reader reports 6-minute download due to slow BSNL 4G in that area, but clean install and normal app behavior afterward. Download time is the only variable; the install process is identical across carriers.

India Legal Note

Some states (Sikkim, Goa) have legal frameworks for online gambling; others have explicit or implied restrictions. The Public Gambling Act of 1867 is the federal baseline but most enforcement is state-level. Pin Up operates under Curacao license OGL/2024/580/0570 offshore, which is the legal posture most international operators take for the Indian market.

Winnings are taxed at 30% flat under Section 115BB of the Income Tax Act with TDS on winnings above ₹10,000 per transaction. Talk to a chartered accountant before cashing out significant amounts.
